My client, RLN, instructed me regarding a registration issue. The HCPC were questioning his application and had referred him to a Registration Panel.

He contacted me following a huge amount of communication with the HCPC but, thankfully, before submission of that which he relied on for the Panel. While his points and position were valid, they were bound to lead to refusal of his registration.

This process had already taken RLN a number of years. With advice and work, he was convinced to follow our proposed approach. His Registration Panel was successful and RLN is now officially registered with the HCPC.

Speaking after the case, Stephen, said:

“I was delighted to be able to help him. Dealing with regulators can often be difficult not least because of a lack of understanding of the processes. So many clients contact us to assist with appeals. RLN had the sense to contact us before this was an issue and a successful outcome was obtained. The message is nearly always the same – get advice early. It always leads to better outcomes.”

My client said:

“I had difficulty finding a legal representative to help with my complex and unusual issue with HCPC. But as soon as I found Stephen McCaffrey I sensed that I was in good safe hands, and so it turned out. He drafted a ‘Reflective Statement’ which was rather different from my own best effort. I am very glad that I carefully followed his sage advice.”
