Except for pre-arranged conferences and urgent enquiries, King View Chambers will be closed for the Christmas period from 17th December to 27th December.

Stephen, joint Head of Chambers at Kings View Chambers and expert fitness to practise barrister, recently represented a pharmacist, RH, who was facing dozens of allegations before the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). The case was vast and complex, involving overlapping charges and serious evidential issues. While some allegations were admitted, many were strongly contested.

From the very beginning, RH placed her trust in Stephen to guide her through what became a lengthy and difficult process. Over several years, He worked tirelessly to navigate the complexities of the proceedings, ensuring that her defence was robust and fair.

Ultimately, the GPhC was forced to reconsider its position. The Committee rejected a request for removal from the register and instead imposed a short suspension. This was a significant relief for RH, who had endured a harsh process. What could have been a devastating situation ended with a proportionate sanction, reflecting the fairness of the defence strategy.

Stephen said at the conclusion of the case:

“The General Pharmaceutical Council were, once again, forced to consider their position and the Committee rejected a request for removal, imposing a shorter suspension instead. I am delighted for RH who had been treated extremely harshly in the process. It was a just outcome from what could have been a devastating situation for her.”

RH expressed her gratitude in a glowing review:

“Stephen was absolutely brilliant. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the whole process. I cannot thank him enough for all his hard work and dedication.”
