A dental professional has been cleared to continue practising without restriction after the General Dental Council (GDC) Case Examiners closed a fitness to practise case with no action.
The registrant instructed Kings View Chambers after concerns had been raised with the GDC. Although legal representations and submissions were made during the investigation, the matter was initially referred to a Fitness to Practise hearing.
Following continued representations by the legal team, the GDC agreed to refer the case back to the Case Examiners for reconsideration on the same grounds that had been advanced from the outset of the case.
On reconsideration, the Case Examiners accepted those submissions and concluded that no further action was required. The case was closed, allowing the registrant to continue practising without restriction.
